Ola S1, the first variant of the Ola electric scooter has a maximum speed of 90 kmph with a range of 121 km. It can go from 0-40 km in 3.6 seconds. The fast charging time makes it ready to go for a ride of 75 km in 18 minutes and requires home charging of 4 hours, 48 minutes.
The second and the advanced variant of the Ola scooter S1 Pro has a maximum speed of 115 kmph with a range of 181 km. It takes 3 seconds to convert the distance of 0-40 km, which is the same in the pro version. The pro version requires home charging of 6 hours and 30 minutes.
The battery size of S1 is 2.9 kwh, while the Pro battery size is 3.9 kwh. Both vehicles have an advanced battery management system (BMS) to ensure optimum battery consumption.
The Ola S1 Pro comprises two modes, normal and sports. In sports mode, the vehicle could go from 0-60 kmph in 5 seconds.
The pro version has an 8.5 kw motor, which is the most powerful in the industry. It also has high thermal efficiency and excellent power, peak and torque.
Ola scooter is equipped with all the latest and advanced systems. It is integrated with the proximity unlocking system. It renders the driver start or off the scooter with the smartphone. The advanced sensors present in the scooter will lock or unlock the scooter as your phone comes in a range or goes out of it.
It is also enabled with voice recognition that lets users complete the navigation task via voice command.
Ola scooter is a soundless vehicle and offers a customized vehicle sound feature. The integrated speakers present in it play the sound.
It is also equipped with an anti-theft alert system. The twin disc brakes front and rear with the hill-hold feature keep the rider safe during driving and manoeuvring.
The production of Ola EV is taking place in India, and Ola S1 will be available for purchase from September 2021.
The start price of the Ola S1 is 99,999. The price does not include state government incentives, insurance, registration. With state subsidies, the vehicle price would come down.
