If your PAN card has been stolen/ lost or damaged you can apply for a duplicate PAN card.
There are two ways of applying for a duplicate PAN card- online and offline method.
Online Process
Step 1- Go to tin-NSDL website.
Step-2- You have to go to PAN section – and apply in Reprint PAN
Step-3- Application type- select – Reprint of PAN card and Category- select- Individual.
Step-4- Fill the form which will ask you the following details- PAN, full name, Date of birth, parents name, address of communication, Aadhar number, contact details etc.
Step-5- After you submit this a token number will be mailed to you. This token number will be used for future reference so preserve this mail properly.
Step-6- Complete the form, and then you have to select the mode of submission of your PAN application form. You have the following 3 options-

You can physically submit the application
Take a printout of the acknowledgement form generated after payment. Attach the copies of supporting documents like proof of identity, address and age. Send it by registered post to the PAN services unit of NSDL.

Submit digitally through e-KYC & e-signature.

Submit scanned images through e- signature.
Offline process
1- Download and print – ‘’Request for new PAN card or/and changes or correction in PAN data”form
2- Fill the form in block letters
3- Mention your 10 digit PAN
4- Two passport-sized photographs need to be attached to the applicant’s cross-signature.
5- You have to give copies of proof of identity and address along with the payment. Send this to NSDL- facilitation center.
Keep in Mind

If the card has been stolen or damaged, you must file a police complaint and keep a copy of the complaint.

The application fee is 110 Rs for resident individuals and 1020 for NRI’s.

PAN card will be dispatched at the address mentioned in Aadhar and you can check the status of your PAN application by using the acknowledgement number sent to you.
